Martin O’Neill talking about it being too late in the season to make any changes, even if he is “unsure” on some aspects. Think it speaks to how risk-averse Celtic have become from top to bottom.

@20MinuteTims I’m intrigued how they’ll word wanting people to sign up / spend hundreds with so many questions marks at what the club / management looks like come matchday 1.

@20MinuteTims I do think we can get a better balanced midfield without him but we can realistically kiss goodbye to any such risk taking from this coaching setup.

There’s just such an odd wave of thought killing, conversation killing takes right now. Some people just totally against any contrary opinion. The only conversation around Cal being dropped is because he’s injured and we know he’s injured because Martin said. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Peter Martin@PeterMsport

Anyone suggesting Callum McGregor should be dropped from the starting eleven at Celtic knows nothing about football. The best midfielder in Scotland, bar none! (I won’t be looking at comments for the abuse. All the best! 😜) #classispermanent

it’s joked about a lot but an Atletico Madrid-Arsenal Champions League semi final has serious potential to kill football off permanently.

Hayato Inamura has been playing at centre-back since joining FC Tokyo in January. He made one competitive #Celtic appearance this season and impressed at left-back. Due to return to Glasgow in June - does he have a long-term future at Parkhead? 🔗 celticway.co.uk/features/26015…

@jamesgogs5 was just an example of anything positive was coming from him, the left hand side was really poor.

@LK95_ If this is highlights we have more problems than I thought bang average at best and this is his so called best clips of the game. I have no issue with his mandatory trying hard but very very limited and that was the case again on Saturday.

The second half on Saturday was poor; the first half equally as bad, with no clear attacking plan.. but that won’t stop the Yang propaganda. Anything remotely positive in the final third came directly from Yang’s work rate, dribbling and some nice attempted progressive passes.

@Bell_O_The_Brae only when Yang unlocked them a couple moments earlier and created the space.

@LK95_ Apart from the actual goal that won the actual 3 pts...which came from Calmac & Oxlaide-Chamberlan!

Yang has 3 goal involvements in his last 14 games 26 goal involvements in 105 Celtic appearances Stop hyping up these mediocre players, they are the entire reason we are in this mess

Callum McGregor fitness call looming for Scottish Cup semi-final. Do Celtic risk him again or trust Engels deeper after his return? Big decision for Martin O’Neill with no obvious replacement in holding midfield. celtsarehere.com/celtic-fc-mcgr…

@PaulJohnDykes @timmymhallet67 @Fitzy__07 It’s such a weird season. The last couple months goes against everything I’ve ever known about football in terms of the fact that the performance does not matter from now until the end of the season, it’s literally all about results (as MON / Maloney shouldn’t be here next year)

@timmymhallet67 @Fitzy__07 O’Neill has won 81.5% of the points we’ve played for during his two spells in charge this season. Rodgers won 63% of the available points and Nancy won 33%. No one is beyond criticism, but O’Neill has worked wonders with this squad of players.

Two things can very much be true: - MON is the only reason we're still in the conversation for winning the league; but - He's not above criticism. I don't know what happened on Saturday, but we went in 1-0 at half time & came out 10 men behind the ball in the second.
Celtic Gossip@CelticGossip

Morning Gossip: Some of criticism of MON is way off the mark. We’re only in this title race because he’s squeezed everything out of a threadbare squad hit by injuries, lacking real quality & playing without a decent striker. He’s overachieving with what he has. Give him credit HH

The McGregor, Ox and Nygren three isn't the right combination, which was obviously apparent vs St Mirren. A close look at all the issues here and just how risk averse the midfield was on Saturday.
The Celtic Way@celticway1888

Celtic's midfield isn't functioning, defined by overly cautious, laboured possession and lacklustre pressing. @StewartRoss89 takes a deep look at the concerns, some frankly awful numbers from the starting three vs St Mirren and a better way forward. ➡️ celticway.co.uk/tactics/260152…

@20MinuteTims is it cognitive bias towards admired individuals? Can appreciate everything he’s done for the club but the football is utterly turgid and given we sacked Nancy in January, it might not have been a bad idea just to… you know, recruit another manager..
