@BeeBabette From the abstract, this looks like a classic teleology non-problem in evolutionary biology. Copy of article requested via Researchgate

@corvidresearch <iframe src="facebook.com/plugins/video.…" width="560" height="420" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe> Does this work then? Video has banksia flower cover, raven sounds and commentary.

@corvidresearch Interesting. I have seen a young Australian raven "farm" sacred ibis. The rest of the family forage, and the youngster shadows the ibis. When the ibis catches something tasty, the raven chases it onto dry land and makes it drop the meal. The relationship with birds is complex.

This week’s photo is actually a screen grab from a video. To aid in your quest I am providing a gif that was among the most troubling parts of this video for me in terms of a confident ID. Can you see what has me feeling uneasy about saying crow? Full answer still coming at 5:30

The bird on the right is a great blue heron, but what about that handsome individual on the left? Is it a #CrowOrNo? Answer at 5:30. Good luck!

@corvidresearch I have just come across your research. Australian corvids do something similar. When the "old man" was electricuted, there was a huge gathering, many more than for a hawk or owl. It was very ceremonial. part 2 next tweet.
