School had the pleasure of welcoming the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Leeds. They spent time in each class helping us learn about the role of Mayor and local democracy. The Mayor was accompanied on the visit by Sienna who is this year's Leeds Children's Mayor.

So thrilled to welcome the Afrikindness team to #Leeds Civic Hall to kick off UK #Parliament Week. The young people made powerful presentations about ensuring their #voices are heard and their votes count by learning how #democracy and the #democratic process works.

Today Class 1 and Sienna from Class 4, who is the Leeds Children's Mayor this year, visited the Harewood War Memorial and laid a wreath on behalf of school prior to the Remembrance Day events this coming weekend. Our Church School Ambassadors have also been selling poppies.

Leeds Children’s Mayor Finals Night update - huge thankyou to Esosa it’s been a brilliant year! Inspirational to hear our 12 year 6 finalists read their manifestos. They campaigned hard over the summer and 7688 children voted in the 2025 Leeds Children’s Mayor elections.

I can’t believe it’s a year since I found out I had made the final 12 and started my campaign to become @LSChildrenMayor. It’s been amazing so far. On Sunday I helped start the SNAPS Superhero Challenge. What wonderful event ❤️🌟
