@orbalology I've been with the mindset that if an all digital future is all we have then PC is the main platform. But im still not on board with playing single player games on PC, and the Nintendo library for me is a lot more important. PS5 will definitely be the last console I get year 1.

It's fine if others don't want to play games that way. But for me I just don't really see the appeal in buying a new digital only console when I already own a great gaming PC. And if I want to play something in handheld, I've got plenty of devices & games for that.

Appreciate the kind response & support for my approach to conscious collecting on my channel. But I find it wild some can’t fathom skipping digital-only consoles when I can already play most of what I want on PC. Physical media erasure just makes consoles less compelling for me🤷‍♀️

Handheld screenshots for Final Fantasy 14 Switch 2 edition. Switch 2 is the best Nintendo hardware. I have waited for this kind of third-party support since the SNES.

@FeristalJ I still find it insane how stubborn Nintendo is about Online. They don't even host any servers for their games. They make people pay for the privilege to host things peer to peer. And now they want a cut from Squeenix hosting their own servers that they paid 0 dollars to help.

@KirPinkFury No so if ypu want to play on say PC but you have a PS5 you'll need go re-buy the full game+expansion PC, but the subscription you used for PS5 would cover the PC version too. Same with Xbox.

@Stealth40k SO DUMB! Making the Switch 2 sub be separate from the rest is pointless. Only being 6 bucks is not even that much of a caveat cause now you're essentially gonna be paying like 19 bucks for a XIV sub just to be able to take it anywhere if you already own it somewhere else.

@Wario64 This honestly seems pointless as fuck. If Switch 2 was getting its own dedicated servers then MAYBE id understand but its just gonna be on the same server as every other platform. Really kills the hype for a cool announcement.
