In 1985 it was agreed that a militant structure be established to render Bonteheuwel ungovernable and strategically strike against all arms of the state. This structure became the Bonteheuwel Military Wing(BMW). Its members were ‘Coloured’ students between the ages of 14-18.

Ebrahim Hercules - A ‘Coloured’ member of the Bonteheuwel Military Wing detained in 1987 by the Special Police Unrest Unit. The unit was created to respond to the 1980’s uprisings in ‘Coloured’ townships in the WC. He recounts the severe torture he endured. He was a teenager.

The 1875 Cape Census listed 5 groups classified as ‘Coloured.’ This was also the beginning of the legislative erasure of KhoeKhoe people as ‘Mixed’ using pseudo-race phenotype misrepresentation - it lacks a basis in scientific science & contradicts indigenous methods of identity

Anton Fransch (1969-1989) A fearless 'Coloured' anti-Apartheid freedom fighter and commander in Umkhonto we Sizwe. He made his last stand in Athlone, Cape Town, holding off Apartheid forces for hours before being killed. He was 20. A symbol of courage, resistance, and sacrifice.

His physical books are extremely rare, but there are digital copies for the masses. His subject matter demonstrated the madness of Apartheid and how it oppressed coloured people lives, & was part of the ANC faction that pushed to say coloureds as Africans
