Leni was invited by Harvard; Sara wasn’t. And there it is again. You & your obsession with Western validation, as if recognition from abroad is the ultimate benchmark. Of course Leni got invited. Her rhetoric aligns neatly with the West. Minus the accent, she sounded like Maria Ressa using phrases like ‘speaking truth to power,’ ‘holding power to account,’ and peddling an anti-Duterte narrative packaged in a way that resonates more with Western audience than with everyday Filipinos. COMELEC CLEARS MARCOLETA OF ELECTION OFFENSE BREAKING: Comelec finds no election offense in Senator Rodante Marcoleta’s non-disclosure of P75 million in contributions from three people in his Statement of Contribution and Expenditures (SOCE) for the 2025 polls. The poll body adopted the recommendation of its political finance and affairs department to terminate the probe, explaining that while Marcoleta did not submit a sworn statement detailing the contributors’ names, addresses and dates and amounts received, a law repealing the relevant provision of the Omnibus Election Code means it no longer an election violation.
