@ProfessionalZip zips football needs to be eradicated altogether. the only game worth watching is the wagon wheel game but other than that akron football is just an insult to this university.

If there was no BTS drama, then Akron has to find a way to free up money from football to give to Basketball/Soccer.
No one, and I mean NO one, wants to watch Akron football. It pains me every Saturday to turn on that awful product.

I’m happy for him and his family. If this is what they want, then great! I’m rooting for him because he’s an AKRON LEGEND forever. Im sure Charleston is beautiful, but I am curious if behind the scenes things fell apart in terms of relationships

NEWS: Akron’s John Groce has emerged as the top target in Charleston’s head coach search, sources told ESPN. Nothing is done and steps remain for both sides in the next 24 hours, but there’s mutual interest. Groce has led the Zips to four of the last five NCAA tournaments.

Dustin Ford would be the perfect replacement if it happens.
He’s been right at John Groce’s side at Ohio, Illinois, and Akron.
With 15+ years together, I’d be fairly confident in the Zips remaining a top of the MAC team.
