Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 8pm. 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail possible.

A 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 is an effect until 11:00 a.m. Saturday. SW to W winds 25-35 mph with peak gusts up to 60 mph.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 7 AM on Sunday until 7 PM on Monday. The storm is expected to reach our area around 9 AM on Sunday and will continue through Monday night. Heavy snowfall is anticipated, with total accumulations of 12-18."

Lake effect snowband off Lake Erie will begin to drop southward this morning. As an arctic front nears, both snow intensity and wind gusts are expected to increase making for difficult travel this afternoon downwind of Lake Erie. #nywx

Due to upcoming snow storm & winds expected to create whiteouts, Erie County issues a Travel Advisory Erie County as of 10 PM. Please limit all unnecessary travel, if you must go, exercise caution on roads & ensure you have a car winter emergency kit.

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - 268 reported power outages in the V/Lancaster, 162 in the Town. - Cayuga Creek is at 6.1 feet & receding. - Winds are ~26 mph, with gusts up to 44 mph. - The total projected snow accumulation from today through Wed is now 8-10"

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - 1 reported power outage in Lancaster. - Cayuga Creek is at 6.7', not expected to reach flood stage. - Winds are coming from the SW at ~38 mph, with gusts up to 69 mph. - The total projected snow accumulation from today through Wed is 12-15"

A travel advisory has been issued for all of Erie County, starting at 11:00 AM today. High winds and blowing snow are expected to create near-whiteout conditions across the area. Residents are advised to avoid travel if possible.

By order of the Mayor, the V/Lancaster is reinstating the overnight winter parking restrictions on Village streets beginning at 2am on Thursday, 11/27. No parking on village streets from 2am-7am between 11/27/2025 and 3/15/2026.

You may notice a black & white helicopter flying low around Erie County today through Thursday; NYSEG is inspecting power lines.

By order of the Mayor, the V/Lancaster is suspending the overnight winter parking ban on Village streets. The ban, scheduled to take effect on 11/15, is suspended but will be reinstated in the event of a significant snow event or winter weather forecast.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of WNY from 1pm this afternoon until 1am tonight. Southwest to northwest wind gusts up to 50mph are possible.

Peak winds gusting up to 50mph are expected today between 11am and 5pm.

A thunderstorm is possible this evening with winds 20-30mph and gusts as high as 40mph.
