Forestry is the backbone of communities across Peace River South. When the Canfor sawmill closed in 2023, our region lost 135 direct jobs and many more across the local economy. In the North, mill closures impact entire communities. Forestry workers deserve a future in BC.

Moody's has warned that if the NDP cannot adjust course, the situation will deteriorate even faster than current forecasts suggest. We are calling on the NDP to scrap the budget and table a plan that restores confidence in BC's financial future.

Congratulations to the City of Dawson Creek on winning International Sport Event of the Year at the Sport Tourism Canada PRESTIGE Awards for hosting the 2025 Para Cup. A great example of what Northern communities can accomplish. Well done to everyone involved.

A new poll shows the BC Conservatives leading the NDP 47% to 39%. British Columbians are looking for practical leadership and a stronger future for our communities. Momentum is building.

Yesterday in Question Period I asked government a direct question: Will they commit to a full public inquiry into the Tumbler Ridge tragedy? The Solicitor General confirmed an inquiry will happen, but no timeline was provided. The community deserves answers. 🎥 Watch the exchange.

Tragedies in Tumbler Ridge and Prince Rupert highlight the urgent need for stronger mental health supports in northern BC. Many residents in northeastern BC live closer to hospitals in Alberta than to major surgical centres in our own province. Renewing the agreement allowing BC patients to access certain surgeries in Alberta may help reduce travel and wait times for some. We also need to keep expanding surgical capacity here at home.
