At the end of the day, Hasan Piker’s biggest problem is that he’s just not a very smart person. He’s been built up by the media to be this great intellectual thought leader of the left, but in reality he’s… kind of a dullard. He cannot withstand even basic interrogation of his ideas, and the points he does try to make are so obviously dressed up in pseudo intellectual jargon to try and hide how little he really understands. He makes Clavicular look like Plato. But this is all the left really wants — a low-IQ rich kid with a jawline to sell communism and hate to other morons while wearing $1400 eyeglasses.

WATCH Hasan Piker justify the Oct. 7 massacre to a Cambridge student. Hasan: These (terrorists) aren’t barbaric monsters… it is not coming from a place of antisemitism or wanting to do mass rapes. Student: The slogan of the Houthis that you so admire is “death to the Jews.” Hasan: And I've been very critical of that. Student: Not critical enough not to platform one of them and call him a “sexy pirate.” Piker should never, ever be taken seriously as a political thinker.

Deferring pension contributions is the Pandora's box of municipal finance, where a seemingly harmless action unleashes a legacy of complications. Once that seal is broken, NYC will start the descent into the same liability-fueled spiral that has hollowed out so many other cities.

It seems to me that Bill Kristol has forgotten why he opposes Trump, and simply internalized that he does, such that anything that is done in the name of that opposition is now deemed okay. This is no way to live. x.com/billkristol/st…

“Expanding the Supreme Court is no different that redistricting in California and Virginia. It is a proportionate response to Republican attempts to degrade liberal democracy and move America toward a post-liberal order.” open.substack.com/pub/thebulwark…

@CNLiberalism Fun fact. The government should be in any position to allow or deny anyone from building housing, of any variety, on their own property.

This whole interview just makes me incredibly sad. Total breakdown of any moral code / sense of personal integrity / commitment to the public good. nytimes.com/2026/04/22/opi…

it’s funny, but not funny that liberals now have to grapple with their side platforming a very wealthy nepo baby socialist influencer who argues it’s okay to murder successful millionaires. this is what happens when you dilute morality down into whatever is convenient at any time for political gain.

Reading the replies to this, it’s quite disturbing how for a good deal of people their notion of *Economics* is just *give people things for free*, and disregard real opportunity/resource costs. Surely such a policy would have *no* trade offs whatever.
Kelsey Piper@KelseyTuoc

You just cannot run a society in which you treat being somewhere indirectly upstream of a legal but suboptimal system with preventable deaths as 'murder', in the very literal sense of 'it makes it understandable, even sympathetic, for someone to execute you in the street'.

Love you guys but you've given him more airtime than some people considering a run for President Sorry if I think it's important to state out loud on here my disagreements with a guy who says it's ok to murder people, Jews are inbred, America was responsible for 9/11 and Russia was right to invade Crimea, amongst other insane things.
Jon Favreau@jonfavs

Zero people have tried to make Hasan Piker "the spokesman for Democrats." He showed up at one campaign event with one candidate in a primary and sat for some interviews. What's embarrassing is the number of people on here treating him like he's a 2028 contender or DNC Chair.

@Noahpinion What's irrelevant are the takes about the Bill of Rights. I.e. - enumerated individual rights we don't get a vote on.

Sorry, I voted yes on VA redistricting, but I've always been a firm "no" on packing the court. Its easy to harshly question justices on the other side (we all do it), but this is a radical escalation that leads only to worse outcomes (retaliation, further illegitimacy concerns).
