It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I have just learned of the passing of Stanley Batten. You may remember I asked people for financial help towards a last holiday then Birthday cards for his Birthday. I have been asked by the family to thank you again for your generosity and those of you that sent cards, thank you so much. I am sure you will join me in wishing sincere condolences to his family. RIP Stanley.

@lauran1902 @frankbrunoboxer Language around death is deeply personal. Assuming your wording is the ‘correct’ 1, & that every1 else should process grief same way u do, is its own kind of arrogance. People use the terms that feel right for their experience. Respecting that isn’t denial, it’s basic humanity.

@lauran1902 @frankbrunoboxer When your first reaction to a tragedy is to take issue with usage of terminology, and not only that, but you actively voiced it in public? You might want to think about that and how it reflects on you. Wow.

@frankbrunoboxer Please stop saying people ‘passed’. They die. Sad but the truth. It is highly offensive to ignore the painful reality by making it sound like a transition to Neverland. Face the truth.

Fifty has a point... 50 Cent says, "My son Marquise is 27 and still asking for child support.
I give him $10,800 monthly, but he says it's not enough." "Success cost me my relationship with Marquise.
At 27, he should be ashamed to ask for child support. He thinks being 50 Cent's son means he doesn't have to work.
I offered to set up a business for him to earn $1 million a month, but he refused. He has an entitlement mentality, thinking my money is his.
It hurts to see him so irresponsible. I keep saying this publicly, hoping he'll be ashamed and start working. No matter how rich you are, never let your kids feel your money belongs to them."

She found a severed penis in her lab coat pocket—her male classmates' idea of a joke. She waited until class ended, held it up, and asked: "Did one of you lose this?"
1908. University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay.
Paulina Luisi was the only woman in her medical school class. Uruguay had exactly four female doctors and 305 male doctors. She was about to become number five.
Her classmates didn't want her there. Whispered behind her back. Bumped into her in hallways. Excluded her from study groups. Questioned her intelligence.
Then one day, in an anatomy lab, she found a severed human penis in her pocket. A cruel prank. Someone expected her to faint, scream, or run.
Paulina didn’t. She held it calmly until class ended. Pulled it out. Asked the room: "Did one of you lose this?"
The class went silent.
Born in 1875, Paulina’s family moved to Uruguay when she was a baby. Her father was a socialist educator. Her mother, a women’s rights activist. Education was their mission.
At 15, she earned a teaching degree. By 1899, she became the first woman in Uruguay to earn a bachelor’s degree. Then she enrolled in medical school.
For four years, she endured harassment. Sabotaged equipment. Rumors. Professors gave her lower grades despite her excellence. She kept going.
Graduating in 1908 at age 33, she became Uruguay’s first female physician and surgeon.
She specialized in gynecology. Saw women suffering from venereal diseases, unsafe abortions, and lack of sex education. She realized knowledge was as crucial as treatment.
In 1916, she addressed the First Pan-American Child Congress. Advocated comprehensive sex education. Critics called her immoral. She pressed on.
She designed curricula covering biology, responsibility, consent, and consequences. Fought for adoption for 28 years. Finally, in 1944, Uruguay implemented it nationally.
She founded the National Women’s Council, built Pan-American feminist networks, advocated for suffrage, reproductive rights, and protection laws. Represented Uruguay internationally.
Paulina Luisi died in 1950 at 74. She had spent over 40 years fighting for women’s rights.
They tried to humiliate her. She turned it into power. They tried to silence her. She became internationally respected. They doubted women doctors. She proved them wrong. They said sex education was immoral. She got it adopted. They opposed suffrage. She lived to see women vote.
Paulina Luisi: the woman who found a severed penis in her pocket and used it to change history.
