What a season!, I had a very enjoyable junior basketball season. I’m proud of each and every one of my teammates, who were always supportive on and off the court. My coaches pushed me to improve and always believed in me. This was definitely a season I’m going to remember. 💚🤍

The Callahan Clan: Basketball Royalty 👑🏀 After watching South Suburban Hoops Player of the Year Landrie Callahan go absolutely nuclear for 38 points — leading all scorers — and seeing her sister Layken put on a show of her own… I had to pause. This wasn’t random. This wasn’t luck. This was lineage. So Uncle Curt went investigative mode. First stop… Laney “Momma” Callahan — Hall of Famer at St. Francis University. Yeah… HALL. OF. FAME. 🤯 The blueprint was already written. Then there’s Dad — Brennan Callahan — who hooped at Lewis University. And if that wasn’t enough? He and his SEVEN siblings all played college basketball. Let that sink in. Oh… and two of his brothers brought home a state championship at Seneca High School in 2005/2006 — back when IHSA was rocking that 2-class (A/AA) system and you really had to earn it. At that point I had to go find Grandpa Callahan… because somebody engineered this masterpiece. This isn’t just talent. This is tradition. This is culture. This is legacy.
