When it comes to minilessons, break free from taking a mastery mindset. This can lead to overteaching & can limit risk taking in your Ss. Instead, keep this portion of the workshop short leaving more time for independent practice & responsive instruction #LiteracyTipTuesday

My husband & I had a convo abt growing up, most of his Ts pronounced his name incorrectly all year long. He NEVER corrected them & they never asked him abt it

Wow second week atop the NYT best-seller list! So much gratitude as I look back on how I first started performing poetry years ago despite my speech impediment. All I can say is to any young writer, keep writing. Keep going. Your day will come.

@MsGilmore6th and I offered some choice small groups in writing and we had a great response! We each took a group and I had some excellent suggestions for comparisons to add to my poem. Looking forward to doing it again next week!
