Alright just spent stupid money on flights to Boston because I can't pass on the chance to see Scotland at a World Cup after 30 years of waiting. Anybody else? (If any of you even see these posts anymore...)

@LeeRoden89 I can only imagine. Just spent £100 and 50000 Avios. Looked at the real price for the same flights and it was £1400 for LHR to Boston return not including the Scotland leg

Sven-Göran Eriksson won a Scudetto with Lazio and a European trophy with fucking IFK Göteborg and I've just read that "arguably his greatest moment as a manager" was winning a World Cup qualifier with England...

Winning a European trophy with a Scandinavian club is a remarkable achievement. So remarkable no other club has done it to this day, four decades on. Then you realise he did it with semi amateurs. RIP
