Annoucement: We will roll out our free data science training scheme ("Data Hero Scheme") to all undergraudate and MSc students in the University of Leeds. Over the scheme, we plan to do some data science projects together for the public good. Stay tunned for the application day.

After 2 weeks of Data Hero Scheme, students are still going strong on learning coding. We will finish our project 1 teaching in this weekend and start teaching database and other programming languages. We're also basking some free advanced data science training for this summer.

Our 2nd week training is coming up this weekend. We're trying a different venue to deliver our teaching - connection stability is a new challenge. The other thing is that we aim to finish project 1 material and record some short videos for all the participants.

Yes. It’s expensive to learn coding if you join one of those bootcamps or take a full-time degree. This is why we as data science educator are trying to reduce the learning burden by teaching data science at a minimum cost like free. bbc.co.uk/news/business-…
