800 Nigerian deportees arrive Katsina from Niger Republic By: Zagazola Makama No fewer than 800 Nigerian deportees have arrived at the Nigeria–Niger Republic border in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State. A security source disclosed that the deportees, comprising men, women and children, were conveyed in eight luxury buses from the Niger Republic and arrived at the Jibia–Magama border at about 9:30 a.m. on March 29. According to the source, the returnees are currently undergoing profiling by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Police Force (NP), as well as intelligence operatives and troops of 17 Brigade. “The profiling process is ongoing to ascertain their identities and other relevant details before further action is taken,” the source said. He added that the deportees would subsequently be moved to Kano State for further processing and necessary assistance.

Last night, the men of Lakurawa made two attempts to reach my location. The first was immediately after Maghrib, and the last was around a few minutes past midnight. What happened around a few minutes past 2 a.m lasted for almost 45 minutes before they withdrew. At first light, we saw them. Boďies scattered, tórn open, holes punched through them like careless drilling. One of them had a small bag beside him containing dabino, and a handbook. We saw a drag on the floor, it looked like a trail of a human who had made efforts to flee. We traced the trail, and it led us to one of their commanders. He had pulled himself away from the fight, inch by inch, bleéding into the dirt…but he didn’t make it far enough. With time, I've studied the fighting patterns of these teřrorist groups. From IŞWAP to Bòko Haŕam, to Lakůrawa and co, these guys do not have identical operational features that can easily make me identify which just by the first 2 minutes of attáck. Recently, I've decided to open my heart to learn how terroʻrists think. How would a person agree to strap himself with a bòmb vest, go into a crowded place, and detónate with the intention of dying with the crowd? It doesn't make sense to you, but that's the psychology of terrorism. They hold beliefs that are alien to those of a normal human, and in my opinion, they don't deserve a space on earth. I'm still making an academic research on this, though. From my watch, I saw a man walking down the other side of the road. He wore a large babariga and looked suspicious. I followed him through my Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56 F1 and, saw him break into a short run and disappear into a shrub, where he quickly pulled down his trousers. My back aches a bit from my watch, it's a pain I'm dealing with as I've decided to reduce my intake of painkillers. Tonight looks like those nights. Poor visibility and suspicious calmness. But by God, I pray they come again. The moon stayed hidden tonight. Maybe it didn’t want to see any of it. I don’t blame it, I wouldn't want to, either. ~ Kolawole Stef (Buddy from other Loc)

Christy( mother of many Generations)
A taxi driver picked up a passenger as usual and was heading to drop her off to her destination.. She complained that he was speeding and asked him to slow down, The driver threatened to drop her in a lonely area if she continue her complains. She kept mute, started engaging the man in a conversation just to keep him calm,. Then immediately they got to a particular junction which was crowded with people, Asked the driver to slow down that she wants to buy bottle water, The man did so, she secretly picked up her purse, came down and started screaming kidnàpper o! Kidnàpper o!!! People around started rushing to mod the man but he was smart enough to drive away as fast as he can... When the people gathered, they were asking her if she was okay and if she can recognize the man.. They didn't asked him what really happened, they were just angry that the man escaped jungle justice.. The girl narrated the story herself and when she was asked why she did what she did, She said: "I was emotional at that moment and wanted to teach him a lesson " That's how some people lost their life to jungle justice without any opportunity to explain themselves... Only God saved that man that evening..

In 1995, a nurse broke hospital rules to place a newborn into her twin sister’s incubator. The baby was not expected to survive. Kyrie and Brielle Jackson were born 12 weeks early at a hospital in the United States. Each weighed roughly two pounds. They were placed in separate incubators, standard practice to prevent infection. Kyrie gained strength. Brielle did not. Three weeks after birth, Brielle went into critical condition. Her oxygen dropped. Her heart rate spiked. Her skin turned bluish-grey. Nurse Gayle Kasparian tried everything. She held her. She had her father hold her. She wrapped her in a blanket. Nothing worked. Kasparian remembered hearing about a practice used in parts of Europe but never tried in American hospitals. She placed Brielle into Kyrie’s incubator. Their father described what happened next: “She snuggled up to Kyrie and she was just fine. It was immediate. It was absolutely immediate.” Within minutes, Brielle’s oxygen levels were the best they had been since she was born. As she slept, Kyrie stretched her left arm across her sister’s body and held her. Photographer Chris Christo captured the moment. The image spread around the world and became known as “The Rescuing Hug.” Hospitals across multiple countries began placing premature twins together, a practice that had been resisted for decades. Both girls went home healthy. They are now 30.

BREAKING NEWS: The Federal Government and power generation companies have disagreed over the reconciliation of debts in Nigeria’s electricity market, with both sides offering differing accounts of the actual liabilities owed to the GenCos. The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, said the government’s liabilities to generating companies could settle at about N4tn, rather than the N6.3tn figure often cited in industry discussions.

This bandit, Harande Dikko, had a bet with his friends and boss: if he could go to Anka and return to the forest without being arrested, he would get N5 million. All agreed that Friday, the market day, was best for the bet. So, he entered the town to buy stuff but was recognised by someone previously kidnapped by his gang, leading to his arrest and torture.

🇳🇬 JUST IN: Nigerian Doctors Warn Health Reform Bills Could Lead to Misdiagnosis, Wrong Treatment, and Preventable Deaths If Passed The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria has warned that proposed 2026 Health Sector Executive Bills, including HB. 2701, could weaken healthcare regulation and affect patient safety if passed as currently drafted. At a briefing, AMLSN President Casmir Ifeanyi described the bills as “a dangerous regression disguised as reform” and “profoundly misaligned with science and global best practices.” The association said the amendments to the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) Act could weaken oversight of laboratory services, which are central to diagnosis and treatment. It warned the changes could “compromise patient safety” by lowering standards and increasing the risk of diagnostic errors. AMLSN also said the proposals could reduce the independence of regulatory bodies by allowing more political and non-specialist influence in decision-making. According to the group, this could affect how standards are set and enforced across the sector. The association further warned that parts of the reform could trigger “fresh inter-professional conflict” within the health system by affecting the balance between different healthcare professions. Describing the bills as “the most coordinated legislative attack ever attempted against the autonomy, stability, and future of Nigeria’s healthcare sector,” AMLSN called for a halt to the process and wider consultation. The Joint Health Sector Unions and the Assembly of Healthcare Professional Associations have also raised objections and called for a review. The bills are currently before the National Assembly.

Troops ambush terrorists along Marte–Dikwa road, recover logistics in Borno By: Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully ambushed Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists along the Marte–Dikwa axis of Borno, forcing them to flee and abandoning logistics items. A military source said the operation was conducted in the early hours of Thursday by a combined team of 50 Task Force Battalion/24 Task Force Brigade and 134 Special Forces Battalion, supported by volunteer forces. The source disclosed that the troops, who had laid in wait at Momoh village along the Marte–Dikwa road, made contact with the insurgents moving on bicycles at about 12:45 a.m. “On sighting the terrorists, the troops engaged them decisively, compelling them to retreat in disarray,” the source said. He added that troops immediately carried out exploitation of the general area, leading to the recovery of eight bicycles believed to have been used by the insurgents for mobility, as well as some beverages suspected to be part of their logistics supply. The Marte–Dikwa axis has remained a critical corridor in counter-insurgency operations, with sustained military pressure limiting the activities of insurgents in the area. The source reaffirmed the commitment of troops to sustain aggressive operations to deny terrorists freedom of action and ensure the safety of communities across Borno.

My iPhone 17 Pro Max was ‘MOVED’ at the Eagle Square… 😭😭 Here is how the story unfolded: I arrived in Abuja at 4:10pm on Friday for the APC National Convention, which was scheduled to begin at 7pm. President Tinubu’s motorcade was expected to arrive at Eagles Square for the event. However, I had been delayed at the Lagos airport for about 45 minutes before my flight took off and then faced the stress of moving from the Abuja airport to my accommodation. My plans were slightly disrupted. Then, my colleague @Mr_JAGs called me to inform me of a significant change in the convention’s schedule. This literally raised entropy in my body system. I realised I needed to quickly change my neatly tailored kaftan to the uniform Ankara brocade (Aṣọ Ẹbi) hastily sewn for the APC Convention. It would not make sense if I looked different from the colourfully dressed Lagos delegates led by Mr. Governor. So, I rushed to my hotel to freshen up and change my clothes. I, then, joined Mr. Governor and his Governor colleagues at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge to move in a group to the venue ahead of the President’s arrival. Upon arriving at Eagle Square, the buses carrying the Governors were directed to the VVIP entrance on the opposite side of the President’s entrance. I tucked myself in this movement. Everyone disembarked and proceeded to the VVIP entrance, which was manned by a combined team of soldiers, policemen and DSS operatives. The VIP entrance consisted of three layers of checkpoints, each strictly controlled. Navigating through the first two checkpoints was chaotic. Some unaccredited individuals attempted to mingle with the Governors’ security details, but their attempts were firmly rejected by the soldiers. At the final checkpoint, there was confusion about who should be allowed access. In the ensuing disorderliness, my iPhone 17 Pro Max (2TB) was ‘Moved’ from my side pocket, which was quite deep. I was momentarily dazed by the excitement of the Governors’ grand entrance into the venue. “Where is my phone?” I exclaimed. Everything seemed blank before I came to terms with the fact that I had been robbed. My Charmast power bank and AirPods were the only working tools left on me. How would I work with such hardware? However, I strolled into Eagle Square without betraying any emotion. But within me, I was experiencing deep pain. Emi omo Mushin ni won move ni Abuja… I spotted many of my APC favourites but couldn’t take pictures with them. Pastor Okezie, Bashir Ahmad, Mayowa Davids, Segun Dada, Seyi Law and Jerry Koko, among others. I was worried about getting back to my base without a phone to use GPS. My brother, Saheed Idris, who owns the popular Lagos Gist blog, graciously lent me his small Android phone so I could connect with people while inside the Eagle Square. I tried calling my number repeatedly but no one answered. Given the huge crowd, I gave up on my iPhone. Then, I remembered my iPad, which was at the hotel with my second phone – a top series of Samsung. Most of my iPhone’s contents were on my iPad; this gave me some hope. 1/2 📸: Mahmoud Abdullahi, the suspected phone thief at Squadron Squad after his arrest…
