Gary you haven’t a clue what’s going on at Liverpool!
The owners have a self sustaining model that Klopp bought into & produced miracles!
Part of that was a transfer department that was the envy of Europe. That has now gone with Klopp running the club from top to bottom.
LFC have had three DOF’s in 18 months, the current one who came out of retirement to do the job for this summer, he’s a close contact of the manager.
Liverpool’s wage bill is 150M more than Arsenals a season. Just do the Maths.
Liverpool don’t have an investor (Peter Lim) like you do at Salford, where you & lads just get on a plane at the end of the season to beg him to spend more money!!
Gary Neville@GNev2
Do you now agree that Klopp has shielded your owners for the last 5-6 years?

Let’s ignore the clear debate winners in the three golden boots, the two PFA POTYs and the actual premier league trophy for a second
Bukayo Saka has 31 goals in 135 games
Should he want to surpass Salah’s goalscoring record that he has right now in 139, Saka would need to replicate last seasons form in front of goal for just under 8 seasons to match what Salah has achieved in just 6.5 seasons in the league
The issue with that stat tho? That doesn’t take into account the fact that Salah will continue to score. Therefore let’s do some more quick math
Salah’s worst season goalscoring wise is 19 goals, both last season and in 2019/20. So if we use that as the basis and say that Salah will only ever hit 19 again for the remaining 2 years of his contract before leaving (all of these variables are going in Saka’s favour)
Two more seasons of 19 goals would leave Salah with 177 goals in the PL, 2 more than the legendary Thierry Henry. Salah would only need 15 assists to surpass the Frenchman’s assist total as well.
Back on track tho, for Saka to hit 177 goals, he would need to replicate his best ever goalscoring season for 10 years straight, and he would still be six behind Salah
So no, he’s nowhere near close to surpassing the Egyptian kings legacy
Anymore stupid arguments to debate on the TL today?

Has Saka surpassed Mo Salah’s prem legacy? I think it’s pretty close

A gentle reminder that England’s most creative midfielder, @Madders10 was not in the squad of 28. And England’s most creative footballer, @TrentAA sat on the bench getting splinters in his arse…
