Total honesty I’m really trying to enjoy #swtwt and get invested in the amazing community it seems to be but I’ve only been here a few days and I’m already getting attacked in comments & messages making accusations that are really hurtful. What do I do here other than ignore it?

I was encouraged to join swtwt by a friend who said it was a wonderful place to chat Star Wars and meet others who love it just as much! While I have definitely met many welcoming folks since joining (less than 48 hrs ago), I have learned I was blocked by multiple accounts?

Just know, in my community I will always welcome you with open arms. That’s why I built my platform, that’s why I have such a great Discord, and that is why I love this fandom. I have only one rule, be kind 🫶🏼

fandom is about community, friendship, and joy. not follower count, brand deals, and pictures with celebrities. don’t lose sight of that.

having posted daily about star wars for the past 11 years, i’ve seen every iteration of this fandom on social media. my entire presence online is anti-gatekeeper and inclusive of all kinds of fans. BUT it’s frustrating to see this new wave of blatant clout chasers.
