I had that just recently. I was telling communists that they believe that homelessness could be solved by just building more homes, and that it doesn’t work like that. All I got was; where you going to do that, what about the cost, what about the fact that houses are treated as a commodity. I was saying back, it is was a hypothetical in a utopia but what matters is the belief system behind it. All I got was no, no, no, you’re wrong. Eventually, they replied back. If there were enough free homes no one would be homeless. Like really, and even when I point out that was exactly what I said they believed in. They still couldn’t see it.

No they hated it for basically everything about the technology that makes it beneficial. Or I should say they hated what it took to make those benefits possible and use that as a way to downplay the benefits themselves. I've been in the TV forums talking OLED as an owner for a decade now and I can't tell you how many times people have tried to tell me that I wasted my money on a device that was going to be completely useless in under a year or two. Meanwhile here it is a decade later still going strong in my guest room and looking pretty much just as good as the day I got it!
