I am an Iranian-American, who have lived in Iran for 30 years. My entire family still lives in Iran. Since Jan 2026, I was using my X account, anonymously, to be my people’s voice while they are silenced by the regime. But my small account, with only a few hundred followers, couldn’t be tolerated by IRGC digital worriers, and X suspended it. I tried to appeal, but didn’t go anywhere. I am back, and will keep coming back as many times as I can. #FreeIran

I dont agree that is the only way. I also dont think Israel gains much by killing the ONLY nation that has a common enemy with them (the regime). I do agree that Iranians dont like carpet bombing of their country, and that is nit what is happening today. Attacks are targeted. Iran’s regime executed 657+ Iranians since the start of the war. Less than the civilian casualties (per Iran’s reports) caused by each US and Israel. Iranians are more afraid of the regime than Israel and the US bombs. You are extremely lucky if you dont get what that level of desperation look like.

Yes! Because, as I say in my account, your friends reported and closed my previous account. Then I talked to my family in Iran yesterday, after weeks of not knowing if they are alive or not. They asked me to be their voice. To ask the US to finish the job and not leave Iranians with these murderous regime. I opened an account immediately. This is the ONLY thing I can do. They are silenced, and have no say in what is affecting them directly. The least I can do is to be their voice. That is OK if that doesnt fit your agenda or beliefs. But this is what Iranians want. It is their lived experience.

Same question goes to you. Where is your outrage about millions who have died and suffered under the Islamic regime in Iran? Where is your outrage for the 40,000 young innocent lives lost in #IranMassacre‌ just for asking for a better life? Where is the outrage for 657+ executions of 14+ year olds that happened by the regime DURING this war? PS, I do care about all innocent lives in that region. Including the ones suffering in Gaza. That is why I think the Islamic regime in Iran has to go! Everyone in that region, and beyond, will have a better life without this murderous tyranny. 🙏🏻

I understand your confusion. The main points you need to consider are: 1) this war is against the regime, not the people. 2) the regime is the common enemy of Iranians and the US/ Israel, so it happens that their goals meets Iranians’, which is fall of the regime. 3) Iranians die in bigger numbers and suffer dramatically more under the regime than this war. 4) it takes 47 years of oppression, massacre and failed diplomatic efforts by a nation to prefer being bombed to continue living with this regime. You are extremely lucky if you cant understand this. I have my entire family in Iran. After two weeks of not knowing whether they are alive or dead, I talked to them for a few minutes yesterday. What with fear they told me was keep being our voice and ask Trump to finish the job! I swear to my kids that is what they asked. And I immediately opened an X account to do exactly that (my previous account was reported and closed by IRGC digital army). Iranians are more afraid of this war ending with the regime still in place than the bombs. PS, the bombings are very targeted. US and Israel gain no benefit in randomly killing civilians. I have lived through Iran-Iraq war. I know what war looks like. My father was saying this is nothing like that.

@athsestream @jacksonhinklle My 70 year old father has not been able to see the face of his grandchildren for more than 3 months… I dont know for weeks if they are alive or dead… 90% of Iranians have no voice in something directly impacting them so massively… That is what I am upset about.

They were saying people have so much trust in targeted attacks that are just about their normal lives. Nothing like Iran-Iraq. If we agree that IRGC must go, lets all advocate for that. With no IRGC, Hamas, and Hezbollah, Israel will have no excuse to attack these lands. If Israel was all about carpet bombing, they would have done that in Iran. They dont. They want to ensure survival. That goal happens to work for 90M Iranians who also want survival and removal of IRGC.

Seems like you know people with internet! Somehow my PhD level siblings have not been able to figure out how to connect to that abandon internet in Iran for more than 3 months. I haven’t seen their faces and my parents, and they have not seen my kids. They can find a few minutes window every couple of weeks for a phone call, through which they are afraid of talking about anything. In between those calls, I have no idea if they are alive or dead. At some point, maybe it is OK to just stop refusing to hear Iranian voices about their experience in Iran!

While I dont agree with putting any human in a camp, I need to say that you guys dont understand how horrible it is to live under sharia law. I lived in Iran for 30 years. I was born and raised Muslim. My parents are still practicing Muslims. But when I say Political Islam is scary, I am talking from first-hand experience. For us Iranians, it is not Islamophobia, it is Ismalotrauma. While I dont agree with his remarks about imprisoning people because they are Muslims, I do strongly believe that if we dont stop spread of Islam and empathy towards its rulers, there will be no freedom and democracy in a few decades in the world. They are spreading too fast!
