"It’s pretty much certain that most people in the UK will shop at, or use services that help keep Mitie’s profit margins up." In 2022, Mitie’s record revenue of £4 billion created an operating profit of £167m. Read our profile here: corporatewatch.org/mitie-company-…

Barido’s case has recently been dismissed at tribunal. To make a long term residency application he needs to raise a total of £2296 for the application fee and his immigration health surcharge. Please boost and donate to help him avoid deportation. gofundme.com/f/d83aj-help-w…

🚨Please Boost! 🚨 Barido needs funds, as he is on #NRPF and needs living expenses as he deals the home office! One way we can resist the violence of NRPF is by sharing our money when we can, please share in your networks! 👇 gofundme.com/f/d83aj-help-w…

And absolute shame on @lpoolcouncil for even considering this option. You all are complicit in social murder for this, withdrawing support for people on NRPF, people who already cannot access other means of support, for a slight savings of money. Disgusting.

Budget consultation is out - while its mostly way for the council to manufacture consent to austerity and cuts, if you do fill it out please object strongly to option ASC13 under homelessness and social care, which aims to remove this service entirely ppl on NRPF.

@LiverpoolMiSol 💯 agree regarding the behaviours especially since the 2010s but concerned for this being next level integration

Appalling as it is, this is actually completely in line with how homelessness charities/services are often on the front line of the hostile environment and border enforcement, and have been for some time

I'm bumping because honestly I think more people should know about this appointment of a home office boss to lead one of the largest homelessness providers in the UK who have already seen legal action for facilitating deportations of people experiencing homelessness

The "savings" from this cut would amount to approximately 0.1% of the Merseyside Police budget. What does this tell us about the priorities here?

It's listed in the 2023/2024 budget options, which can be found here liverpool.gov.uk/budget. It will be discussed in the Cabinet on Nov 24 and voted on in March. We urge anyone with any connections to local government here to do everything they can to oppose this.

We have learned that one of @lpoolcouncil 's budget options is to (completely) cut social care and homeless services to people on NRPF. Many of the budget cuts proposed are awful, but this is a truly heinous attack on people in already difficult circumstances.
