Trump Gold card was always a scam. Nutlick claimed he sold 1000 on day one. The reality? 338 inquiries. 165 paid the $15,000 filing fee. One card sold. This was supposed to help pay off the national debt. LOL The math never made sense. Gold Card costs $1 million. It is a non-refundable donation. Compare this with the EB-5 visa. $800,000 into a real project in a targeted employment area, 10 jobs created, and a path to getting your money back. It gets worse. The Gold Card piggybacks on EB-1 and EB-2 visa slots that are already backlogged for Indian and Chinese applicants. The government's own court filing admitted that processing is no faster than regular applications. So you pay more, wait the same amount of time, and recover nothing. The behavioral factor here is obvious. The Gold Card was designed to trigger status-driven, impulsive commitment. But immigration is not an impulse purchase. It is a multi-year family decision. The people with that kind of money are exactly the people who will consult lawyers, run the numbers, and discover that EB-5 costs less, preserves capital, and carries legal protection.

Everyone and his चाचा now has an opinion on the Andaman Nicobar islands and the Great Nicobar Island development project but we have had a relentless focus on this vital region for years: my colleagues, led by @amitabhprevi have done an excellent series spending three weeks there covering the ANI from North to South. HOW THE FUCK DID OUR SPINELESS JUDICIARY LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN? Meet Bhimrao Kamble, a 65‑year‑old child‑raping demon whose face should haunt every judge who let him walk free. This monster didn’t just assault an innocent four‑year‑old girl in Nasrapur near Pune, he raped her and then smashed her to death with stones, as if she were nothing more than a stray dog in the street. He had already been jailed once for raping a minor. The so‑called “great Indian judiciary” opened the cage and set him loose. Protecting society from repeat child predators was apparently too much to ask. He does not deserve another breath. No more “due process” that only protects the guilty. The courts didn’t just fail this little girl, they armed her killer and sent him back out hunting. How many more children must be raped and stoned before these judges grow a spine? Enough of this shameless circus. The judiciary is the real criminal here.

Tomorrow at 12:29pm IST, @NavamCapital portfolio company @GalaxEye will launch the world’s first satellite that combines optical + Synthetic Aperture Radar (optoSAR) sensors on a single platform - at a weight of ~190 kg, it is also the largest satellite built by a private company in India. The engineering significance is colossal. By fusing SAR with multispectral imaging in one pass, the optoSAR payload produces inherently aligned, analysis-ready imagery with roughly 3x the information of single-sensor systems. For India, this translates into special strategic capability: persistent border and maritime surveillance with no weather or night blind spots; real-time tracking of convoys, camouflage detection, and change detection; and faster military decisioning through onboard AI. This is precisely the kind of dual-use, IP-differentiated deep tech that the New India must invent rather than import. For five years, the young team at GalaxEye - @thesuyashsingh, Denil Chawda linkedin.com/in/denil-chawd…, @ThePranitMehta, @KishanHarshadT, @rakshitbhatt98 - has built with grit and persistence toward this moment. Their work demonstrates what India's engineering talent, properly empowered and backed by patient risk capital, can deliver! Tomorrow is a historic day for GalaxEye, and for space tech. Follow Mission Drishti and the launch here: galaxeye.space/mission-drisht… 🛰️ 🚀 🇮🇳

Well done Greece 🇬🇷. Greece’s highest court has issued a landmark ruling: animals must be made unconscious before they are killed. This ends a long-standing exemption that allowed slaughter while animals were still fully aware. The court based its decision on animal welfare law and said the goal is to reduce suffering at the moment of death. In plain terms, animals cannot be killed while they are awake and able to feel pain. Any slaughter method that skips the step of making the animal unconscious is affected. That includes some halal and kosher practices, though not all halal methods avoid stunning. Slaughter remains legal, but the animal must not be conscious when it happens. Supporters call this a major step toward reducing cruelty and updating animal protection standards. Critics say it interferes with religious traditions and the freedom to practice them. The court chose to prioritize animal welfare, saying preventing unnecessary suffering comes first under current law. Whether people agree or not, the message is clear: if animals are killed for food, it must be done in a way that reduces pain and fear as much as possible. Many say this change is long overdue and reflects what we now understand about animal suffering.

For Abkhazia, Paganism is already the majority's "normal." Most researchers fail to grasp this, because on paper and across countless copy-pasted sources the Abkhaz appear to be roughly 60% Christian and 20% Muslim. But practically, even during Ottoman and Soviet times, it was never like that. The Abkhaz were predominantly pagan, believing in their own myths. Islam, Christianity, and even Judaism among the Abkhaz practically do not exist in any meaningful sense; instead, belief in old pagan rituals and supernatural forces is woven into cultural patterns of individual and social life, regulating people's attitudes and behaviors called as "Apsuara". To illustrate: none of my teammates knew anything about Christian practices, even though a few wore crosses or had cross in their car's mirror. The Muslims among them had no idea about Islam either. In a class I taught at Abkhaz State University, I noticed on my calendar that the next day was a significant Christian holiday. Curious whether it was an official holiday, I asked and none of the 40 students had any idea. I asked if any of them were Christians; a few raised their hands but said they weren't really into it. I then asked if there were any Muslims. One student raised his hand and politely asked me what "Bismillah" meant. I was shocked, because "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim" is one of the most core phrases in Islam, among the very first things one learns. He said he was simply curious about its meaning, because his grandmother always said "Bismillah" right before slaughtering chickens. Then, to my great surprise, I asked the whole class what their religion was, and all together, in a blissful voice, they answered: "We are Abkhaz." The Sukhum synagogue and the Abkhaz Jewish community are no different. I had known a wonderful person in Abkhazia for years, and when he heard I was going to visit Tel Aviv, he told me his brother was there too and that we should meet up. I asked what his brother was doing in Israel, and he said his brother had become an Israeli citizen ten years ago. Still not understanding, I noted that it's nearly impossible for non-Jews especially citizens of de facto states like Abkhazia to obtain Israeli citizenship. He then told me his family was Jewish, which shocked me, because they were hardcore Abkhaz in every sense. He had never mentioned it before, and he was surprised by my surprise - because for the Abkhaz, religion simply doesn't mean that much. Yet, like every other Abkhaz, even as a Jew he deeply believed in the old Abkhaz tales, mystical creatures, and mythical events. But the strangest example: during late Ottoman times, in a rural area, there was a building commonly used as both a church and a mosque, divided by a wooden wall and door. So far, fine. But the truly remarkable part? The imam and the priest were the same person. Another thing to show how Abkhaz society is hardcore secular is that, our friends that were to get married did not know each other's religion till the first Ramadan. Nobody cared, yet they knew each other's both paternal sides for their families-clans. Long story short: never take for granted the widely circulated "sources" that get copy-pasted endlessly without anyone questioning the information's current accuracy.

Being said about the murder of a woman who wanted to practice Bharatnatyam, by the way. Apparently, Natraj and his teachings mean nothing. It is also impressive how gutless these people are about not converting to religions that advocates for the baseless murders of women.

@EkThiSarabi She did the act against the wishes of her swamy just to please the village? If her husband didn’t agree, why did she go against his decision? Though the death is unfortunate but she was a traitor in the first place.
