Pete Stauber needs to grow a spine and speak up publicly against this ridiculous use of taxpayer dollars. He can't find a dollar to help the Minnesotans struggling to afford their rising prescription drug costs but has nothing to say here. They'll keep hurting all of us to save their own hide.

My most important job is uncle to my incredible nieces. I went to her school concert this afternoon and want to give a special shout out to our incredible public school teachers who pour their passion into these kids every day. They deserve a strong voice in Congress.

A billion dollars for Donald Trump's ballroom made out of foreign steel while we're closing rural hospitals? We can’t let them get away this this.

For decades, members of Congress have cashed in on classified briefings and insider knowledge, rigging the system while working families play by the rules. That’s exactly why I’m running. If it’s illegal for us to trade on inside information, it should be illegal for them too. It’s time to ban congressional insider trading, and hold anyone who breaks the rules accountable.

Today I addressed delegates at the 8th CD DFL Convention and made it official: I'm withdrawing from the endorsement process and taking my campaign directly to the voters - all the way to the Aug. 11 primary. The path to beating Stauber runs through every voter in this district.

It makes no sense that we can afford to hand out tax breaks for the wealthiest 1% and spend $25 billion on a foreign war but we can’t keep our rural hospitals open. I’m running to change that.
