A small sigh slipped past his lips, before looking back to the sign and back to her leg. Taking her arm around his neck, he began to help her up to hee feet, ❝ Nah, I didn't make it. Wouldn't feel right if I won like that. ❞

Seeing her trip over the web, he stopped a few yards short of the city signage, jogging over to help her up. ❝ Ah shit, you alright there? Looked like a nasty fall. . . ❞ He said to the fallen Manectric, offering a hand to her.

He kept the same pace as they neared the city limits, his legs feeling like they are about to give out with each lightning charged step. Pulling out from behind her, there he ran, side by side as the town could be seen on the horizon, ❝ Not done yet! Gonna win this! ❞

❝ Ah shit that was close! ❞ he said as the two nearly collided. Thankfully they both managed to get back to their feet, however, Jake wasn't a fan of being behind her- Nearing the half way mark, Jake's position to her was merely a few feet behind, drafting her and using less-
