Cedars-Sinai experts are helping drive the next wave of GI research discoveries 🙌 This Cedars-Sinai article highlights MAST physician-scientists: - Dr. Ruchi Mathur and Dr. Gabiela Leite will share research linking changes in the small bowel microbiome to Type 2 diabetes. - Dr. Ali Rezaie will share that a palatable elemental diet improves abdominal pain and related IBS symptoms after two weeks of treatment. - Dr. Mark Pimentel and Dr. Maria Jesus Villanueva-Millan will share their research showing that hydrogen sulfide breath levels match levels found in the small intestine and are associated with specific microbes and diarrhea severity.
