Today, I visited Skowhegan to survey damage caused by flooding from the Kennebec. While we're still assessing damage from the storm, it's clear difficult days lie ahead for many Maine communities. My Administration will do all we can to support the swiftest possible recovery.

In the face of great tragedy and difficulty, it is a hallmark of Maine people to come together to love and support one another.

MEMA warns that high winds from the storm, combined with full canopy trees and saturated ground, will result in downed trees. Avoid being on the roads if you can. If you must travel, avoid driving around downed trees or over downed wires and obey road closure signs and barriers.
