This repost highlights the estimated revenue #MUFC receives from facility fees paid by clubs when fixtures are moved for TV coverage. From the 25/26 season, up to 100 additional @premierleague games will be broadcast. It’s already evident that United will be earning significantly more from TV picks than in previous years. I still believe the attendance threshold needs reviewing. Six of our home games are already confirmed as not being played on a weekend — that’s 31% of our home fixtures. United’s stance on maintaining the current attendance rate is clearly financial. Still, with even more money coming in from televised games this season, this is precisely when the club should consider relaxing the criteria for matches moved from weekends to midweek. One important reminder, and something that isn’t made clear enough, is that if you return your Premier League home ticket to the club with more than 14 days’ notice, it DOES count towards your attendance even if the ticket doesn’t sell. That’s positive, but we should all keep an eye on whether and when the club decide to switch this option off, which they have been known to do for games that aren't selling well.
