Hopefully, who and what I am, will be revealed by my deeds based on the interactions I have with the peoples of this world.

Thank you to all the good people who supported me in this court case. Dark as it was, i’m happy that it’s an outcome that will change peoples lives for the better. This, for me, was about Justice and I hope that if you have a disability, the judgement gives you a glimmer of Hope.

Victory at last! The SCA has just handed down a decision that changes how complexes operate in SA. It’s significant in two aspects of law: access to justice through CSOS appeals and the enforcement of constitutional rights within private communities. Access P1 of my story below…

Elon Musk may come to truly appreciate vox populi 😏

All I ever wanted from social media was accessibility, free speech and adherence to universal values. Elon Musk doesn’t give a damn about any of these.
I say this as someone who doesn’t constantly post about disability issues, but honestly, I’ve had enough of his arrogance. I’m not paying just to avoid being pushed out of a platform. Imagine paying for abuse.
His customer relations team can’t even answer basic questions about blindness accessibility.
I’m exploring other platforms and thinking carefully about how I use them as well as this one. Twitter is no longer a space for meaningful or intellectual connection. It’s become lowbrow noise, and I won’t give more of myself to a platform that doesn’t care about people and basic values — including its own principles which are subverted at every turn.
Anyway, social media user behaviour is changing and voices from across the political spectrum are finding new spaces and reviving old ones. Variety and depth can now be found elsewhere as Elon Musk erodes it here.

@realUpScrolled Please work on the accessibility particularly for blind users. I’m willing to help.

@kimheller3 And all the other political parties will play their part in dramatising the spectacle just to keep the masses entertained and at Bay. It’s all so pathetic and tiring.

If you want to use a social media network that does NOT censor people based on their political views (unlike X, which throttles your account 90% if you criticize Israel), use Brighteon (dot) social, or Brighteon (dot) IO which is a decentralized blockchain-driven social media network that has no central servers and can't be controlled or taken down by any central authority. The censorship here on X is proving that centralized social media tech is obsolete. The future is decentralized speech through distributed blockchain-driven content systems that are peer-to-peer.

@MainlandAfrica Wow… Let me guess… They are promoting it as a pro-poor service?

@AphiweMame This is so cool! I would love to read it. Please look into making it accessible, particularly in audio or braille. Happy to assist if I can.

📖📺: 50 Years of TV in South Africa🇿🇦
Thrilled to announce my debut book chapter.
The chapter looks at how TV has shaped public consciousness in post-apartheid South Africa, not just as entertainment, but as a powerful tool for dialogue, education, and social change. Using Yizo Yizo, Soul City, and Emzini Wezinsizwa, I explore how storytelling on screen helped raise awareness and influence public debate.
Grateful to be part of this important contribution to South African media scholarship.

This is a prime example of the duplicitous nature of politicians. This issue was championed by social justice organisations long before any politician cared. That’s not conjecture, it’s fact. I was there, doing the work.
Andile, who was an aspiring politician at the time and running BLF, knew very little about the issue. Now he plays ignorant, responding rudely to messages calling for further discussion, while acting as though he led this work.
But it’s all good, as long as government does its job and, most importantly, Farm workers receive Justice. Journalists, please recount history accurately. It matters. For your reference, there’s even a podcast where the facts are laid out, and Andile features… of course, he probably denies these inconvenient facts too.
And by the way, it’s not only the Northern Cape. Most schemes are in the Western Cape, others in the Eastern Cape, with the rest spread across the country. Please look into that as well.

@PetersWonderboy Have the groupies ever wondered that this anti-Zulu posturing could in and of itself be a counterrevolutionary move? KwaGogo have long lost the plot… This is just a continuation of the downward spiral. They’re digging deeper trying to show us how low they can go.

What is the South African government doing to support the creation of new social media platforms for South Africans? You can’t tell me that in a talented, creative, and intelligent country like this, there’s no one capable of driving that process.
Social media engagement, and how users relate to platforms, is evolving rapidly. As usual, South Africa is behind the curve. Where is the foresight? If I can see this and study it, why can’t those in leadership?
There is no vision. No leadership. The same applies to podcasting. Where is the support? There’re people who can help build platforms, myself included, but despite all the talk about an “information age” in speeches, no one is actively identifying talent or taking the lead on these issues.
English

Yeah… I see the money insentive is what drives engagement increasingly so. I don’t know… The cognitive dissonance is getting to me. LOL I also crave an unadulterated intellectual conversational space. There is some interesting stuff happening here, but it’s really being drowned out a lot more presently than before. It’s just a lot.
I’m not taking a righteous position because I recognise that NO platform is troubleFree. But that said, Elon is going out of his way to make himself detestable. It’s no longer just a matter of him sticking to his lane. The Power is getting to him and it’s quite suffocating. I can’t support that.
