Last night, Coach Duease was inducted into the MS Sports Hall of Fame. It was a great night with lots of longtime friends & former players in attendance. If you have pictures from last night, please post them in the comments.

MRA started hot, but JA was too much in the 2nd half. The Overall championship goes to JA. Erick Dampier, Jr (16 & 13) & Will Bizot (18) showed the future is bright. Kudos to Sam Hailey (11 & 6 asst) & Matthew Latham (7 & 3asst) for leading this team to 33 wins. On to next year.

Overall Finals-Wed 7:45! MRA trailed Prep 1-19 late in 1st but battled back to a 57-50 victory. Sam Hailey hit a couple of big 3’s in the 1st half, & 4 Pats found double figures. Hailey led all with 19. Magee 13, Bizot 11, Latham 10. Dampier w 12 rebs, Magee w 9. Great team win.

2/21/24 - MRA 84 - 46 over Parklane Academy.

2/21/24 - MRA matched up with a familiar foe in Parklane Academy. MRA was on fire in the first half, going 15-21 from the floor (8-11 from 3). In the 3rd, Erick Dampier, Jr, had 15 of his game (& career) high 22 points (+15 rebounds and 5 blocks). Sam Hailey added 21 (5-6 from 3)

2/20/24 - MRA 76, Woodlawn Prep 29. The Patriots dominated from the tip in this 1st round match-up. Will Bizot was 7-9 from 3, and Ashton Magee was 8-9 from the floor to lead the way. Bizot had 21, and Magee had 18.

After a 1&1 week in the 6A tournament to advance to the Overall tournament, MRA has advanced into the semifinals with wins over Woodlawn Prep and Parklane Academy. The Patriots will play Jackson Prep Monday night at 6:00 inside the A.E. Wood Coliseum on the campus of MS College.
