@theochemmerida We have therefore chosen to analyze these LAs in order to have few common lewis acids but also to be able to extrapolate periodic trends using less common catalysts (LAs with heavier atoms). We were also pretty interested in understanding how these weakly interacting LAs work.

@theochemmerida Hi Gabriel, thanks for your question! The literature goes into great depth on hydrogen bonding but it is increasingly common to find works based on Lewis acid catalysis involving halogen, chalcogen, and pnictogen bonds.
