India’s Deepest Dive: A Historic Milestone Achieved! A Press Conference led by Hon'ble MoS (I/C), MoES, Dr. Jitendra Singh, was held at the National Media Centre, New Delhi, on the 'Successful 5000m deepest dive by India’s aquanauts in the French submersible NAUTILE' under the Indo-French collaboration in the Atlantic Ocean, as part of the Deep Ocean Mission. The event began with Opening Remarks by Shri Dhirendra Ojha, Principal Director General (PDG), Press Information Bureau (PIB), followed by Welcome Remarks by Professor Balaji Ramakrishnan, Director, NIOT. Dr M Ravichandran, Secretary, MoES, delivered a detailed presentation on the successful mission and its achievement, emphasising its significance in advancing India’s ocean research and deep-sea technology capabilities. HMoES, Dr. Jitendra Singh addressed the gathering, commending the milestone in India’s deep-sea expedition and reaffirming the Government’s commitment to strengthening scientific innovation for national progress.
