As a biomedical engineer and medical doctor, I hope to bring insights from science to application; working in academia and industry.

I also compared LLMs for scientific writing for grants. Claude outperforms GPT 4o considerably, but Gemini 2.0 Pro is getting close. I still like Claude best and have generated an optimized prompt for grantorai.com to help you draft your grants. These prompts are becoming extremely lengthy as they include a lot of context and instructions. If you want to test it for free, be quick, as I'll eventually need to implement a paywall to cover the costs.

I can finally dedicate some time again to working on my grant writing AI assistant, grantorai.com 🥳 It's really nice to see scientists using this tool to speed up their grant-writing process! Today, I did a systematic analysis between LLMs and noticed huge differences in terms of output quality, and I have now switched to a better model that really extracts the essence of the grant requirements.

Launching soon! 🚀 Tired of the time spent on grant writing? Let's make the process quicker, easier, and more accessible, allowing scientists to focus on their innovative ideas. My simple AI-based assistant is now live for testing - join the mailing list at grantorai.com or DM me to beta test it!

My grant writing app is rapidly evolving. It can now extract form elements from a grant call pdf, and start to fill it in based on your notes and thoughts. If there is interest, I may deploy this as a website; let me know if you want to beta test this! #AI #Science

Cool, I created a dedicated web application for this that works better than ChatGPT for preparing grant applications. It extracts all grant submission elements and also allows me to create dedicated prompts per form element, giving greater control over content and context.

I'm amazed by how few of my scientific colleagues are not using LLMs and chatbots. For example, I've found them super useful in helping me generating a first draft for a grant proposal. Here, it extracts the main grants requirements from a pdf and builds a table I can fill.
