🇵🇰🇮🇷🇺🇸 Pakistan's last-minute ceasefire initiative in the Gulf, just before the expiration of Trump's arrogant deadline, deserves all appreciation & gratitude. I wonder : ▪️What if the charismatic leader Imran Khan were still in power? ▪️I believe he could have intervened immediately after the war began & mediated between the two sides to stop the fighting & prevent further losses for both Iran & the Gulf states. This is just a thought crossed my mind while browsing the news.

The President must be removed. If Congress is too cowardly to do it, his own Cabinet must.

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it. This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this. Trump's recklessness is needlessly putting our brave service members in harm's way, destroying America's global standing, and making life even more unaffordable for the American people. We must all stand against this and oppose funding this illegal war of choice.

A regret. I only started knowing Imran Khan after his fall out with the military establishment. Cannot imagine what it must have been like to have known Imran Khan before, not from my clouded lens of viewing him as politically expedient, but as who he really was - a dreamer who bows before no one but Allah. Now when I try to rewrite his narrative of the years I viewed him as politically expedient, I am left bewildered at how I can come to admire someone so passionately whom I once despised - perhaps equally fervently. What feels unfair is that Imran Khan was plastered on TV screens all the time when I disliked him. But now that I find myself in awe of his heroism, he is nowhere to be seen and his incarceration has no end in sight. The longer he stays hidden, the more intense the longing to hear the conviction in his voice grows. May I get to see you again, Imran Khan. And this time as a believer who feels the intensity of your faith reverberate through my being when you resurface with a resounding: “Iyya ka na’budu Wa’iyya ka nasta’een”
