Boards of #thermallymodified #americanredoak are slotted together to create @DPQ_London's garden lookout seat for Sir John Sorrell of @L_D_F. Thermal modification is a process of heating the wood to make it more durable and weather resistant. @MadebyBenchmark #LDF19

Fluted strips of #Americanredoak are glued together to form Studiomama’s postbox for @HUObrist of @SerpentineUk. The fluting detail is created using a spindle moulder, a machine with a vertical rotating spindle used to shape the wood. @L_D_F @MadebyBenchmark #LDF19

@JasperMorrison’s table and two chairs for @TristramHuntVA of @V_and_A being sanded and shaped. The individual components of the table and chairs are made up using boards glued together and then curved using a CNC machine. @L_D_F @MadebyBenchmark #LDF19
