Being a false alarm doesn’t make an active shooter situation any less horrifying. The checking locations. The panicked text to your colleagues and students who may be in danger. Friends seeing national news and checking in to see if you’re safe. It’s too much.

OU students- don't feel silly or dumb for reporting what you heard. Confetti popper or not, you did the right thing. Whoever pulled that shit should know better than to pull something like that on a campus right after a mass shooting. Or at all in todays age.

Today, I'm finding it difficult to be the quality therapist I know I am. I have several very conservative patients who brought up their thoughts about RvW. The balance of having unconditional positive regarding for the pt while also raging inside is interesting..to say the least.

I'm not sure how many times I need to repeat this statistic for it to sink in but, around 40% of Americans who take out student loans do not end up with a degree. There is no more damning stat in all of higher ed.
