For 40 years i tried to square my circle. But now i realise that squares have 4 sides, 4 points of potential conflict and they fit neatly with other squares. Where my circle has one side. An unbroken continuous line that protects everything inside. The circle stands alone, like the sun in the sky 🌞

last week I had my first appointment to discuss transitioning . no lie it was actually quite traumatic to talk about things I’d buried for so long but the doctor was so nice and said I had been this way since I was a little kid, and that I carry a lot of guilt and shame about it I will start the process, but I will do it my own way and be the person I want to be. Not some character that people expect me to be.
