You're jumping on her claim to make a point. There's simply no reason to focus like this on a single comment, when she's undoubtedly right about increasing gas prices, and you're objectively wrong with your "we are in the best position" take. US gas prices are rapidly rising, there is no reason to act like that's wrong.

It’s not that simple. The US produces mostly light crude, but a lot of its refineries are built for heavier oil. So even if production goes up, a chunk of that oil still gets exported, while heavier crude is imported. Gas prices aren’t set by how much the US pumps alone, they’re tied to global markets, refinery limits, and transport costs. Add policy uncertainty and shaky alliances, caused by Trump, and you’re not exactly stabilizing prices either.
