Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer not to have UK immigration policy decided by Peckham hipsters or European judges.

About time. We should remember it was the ECHR that delayed for years the extradition of Abu Hamza, almost stopped the deportation of Abu Qatada, and tried to tell Parliament that we could not deprive prisoners of the vote.
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Boris Johnson suggests Britain could ultimately leave the ECHR over Rwanda legal challenges 'Will it be necessary to change some laws to help us as we go along? It may very well be and all these options are under constant review'

Plane was literally on the runway and then the ECHR cans the plan. People will rightly be asking the question Who Governs Britain?

Extraordinary, all 47 police officers cleared in Rotherham over grooming gangs scandal. Yet a decent couple offering foster care were removed from the approved list for being UKIP supporters. Says it all.

Putin's move is part of his Greater Russia dream. It poses huge challenges to the West and will cause even more division. We have to decide on our red line.

Time to up Defence Spending and provide options other than financial sanctions. Our way of life is not free. This is a defining moment not just for our collective security, but for the cause of democracy and freedom in our world.

If Keir Starmer were Prime Minister, the UK would be a segregated society - obsessed with long-term draconian Covid curbs on our civil liberties and vaccine mandates - like Canada, France and New Zealand. Boris hasn’t got it all right, far from it. But thank God we’re not there.

The thoughts of huge numbers of people all over the world will be with the Queen as she tests positive for Covid. At a moment like this, we realise just how important to us she is.

The man who supported lockdowns, educating children online and doctors appointment online says a meeting on a laptop wouldn’t allow him to ‘connect & understand on a human, meaningful level.’
Adam Price 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏳️‍🌈@Adamprice

1/3 I see my visit here has caused quite a controversy. To clarify, I am here in a personal capacity, paid from my own pocket. I felt I had a choice - to either comment from afar behind a phone or laptop, or come here to connect & understand on a human, meaningful level.

Why would any parent choose to vaccinate young children against something that presents next to no risk to them? Deeply sinister vested interests at play here.

What if people didn't have to wait until things got worse before they got help? What if we had a system that, instead of intervening at crisis point, provided support when problems first started? Just a little food for thought.
