Septembers POTM: Luke Bennett 🏆 After an incredible 4 wins out of 4 throughout September, several players were in contention for the award. However, Manford’s no.10’s impressive start to the season couldn’t be overlooked. With 6 goals in 4 games, including a crucial goal against league leaders at the time Broomfield helping to secure a vital 3 points… well deserved 👏🏼

4 WINS ON THE BOUNCE! The Way continued their winning streak this Saturday after a thrilling match at the London Marathon. The hosts were 1-0 down after a dominant first 10 minutes, but the visitors were reduced to 10 men after one player saw red. The Way quickly capitalized, leveling the score with a clever finish from Dan Ward outside the box, his first goal of the season. Bracknell took advantage of a loose ball towards the end of the first half, neatly putting themselves back in the lead before half-time. After some changes at half-time, The Way equalized within the first minute of the second half as Bennett broke through the Blackmore defense and expertly chipped the keeper. Bracknell weren't done, with their No. 9 completing his hat-trick with a great finish. The home side responded again, with Bennett scoring his 10th goal of the season after a well-timed ball from Charlie Webb to make the game 3-3 with 20 to play. Esat Saiti put The Way ahead for the first time in the final minutes, with a neat finish at the keeper's near post. However, drama ensued as Blackmore were awarded a penalty in the 90th minute but Manford's Henrique Scapin guessed correctly, sending the home support into a frenzy. Mason Henry sealed the win, latching onto a short pass back to the keeper, securing all 3 points for the boys in red and black! A well-deserved rest next week, but we'll pick things up in no time with the return of the county cup. #UTM 🔴⚫️

Huge 3 points!!! We make it 3 wins on the bounce as we hold out against a very good Broomfield team, a proper top of the table clash… after a good first half Manford hold out with a man down to secure 3 points! A ball over the top from Charlie harper in the first half made its way through to Aaron Clements who breached the Broomfield defence, Clements squared the ball to Luke Bennett who rifled the ball into the roof of the net to put us 1-0 up! Second half we were down to 10 men after 75 minutes as Charlie Harper picked up his second yellow… The lads remained stubborn and stayed resilient as secured their third win on the bounce! 2 on the bounce 🫡🫡 After a dominant first half display, the way make it back to back wins for the first time this season 👊🏼 After an early dagger from Aaron Clements from the edge of the box, the lads continued to push and after missing a few golden opportunities Mason Henry punished late on in the first half to end a flawless opening display. An unfortunate end to a good battle on Saturday as the game had to be abandoned in the 55th minute due to an injury to one of the @FairlopRoversFC players. All at Manford Way wish a speedy recovery and good luck to Fairlop rovers for the rest of the season.
