Autumn conditions. Rain Sunday turned dirt to hero status. No precipitation since. We are leaf blowing much trail as we can this week with most inner trails to be cleared by today. East loop Bullhead Bootleg and race loop Twin Lakes rolling good with scattered leaf covering.

Much cooler weather in place today after a sweeping cold front last night. Morning low at 46. Air much better today after very smoky hazy day yesterday. A touch of precipitation last night with .06″ recorded in the gauge. Photo: Columbine flowers blooming this past week.

Best fat bike conditions of the season! Twin Lakes singletrack was groomed Friday and the connector to Bullhead Bootleg as well. Bootleg dusting of snow, rider pack on top of rock solid level base. Use caution on corners for random icy spots otherwise really nice riding!

Great day hosting the 30th Detroit Lakes Invite Nordic Ski Meet. Over 400 enthusiastic skiers from northern, western and central Minnesota competing on natural snow covered Skaters Waltz. Nice to see the newly formed team from Red Lake nation make the trek. Great job all skiers!

Grateful to be blessed with such nice weather this Fall. Phenomenal Northern Lights last night with unusual reds. Saturday’s wind event brought down a lot of deadfall. Use extra caution if riding on @laddiesloppet course. Should have the entire 25 mile track cleared by Thurs.

We avoided all the rain today, just a handful of welcomed sprinkles to settle the dusty areas. Sun popping, air drying out, setting up a great rest of the afternoon and evening to ride!
