It’s been a long time since I’ve rooted against a school in the #NCAA bball tournaments. But after that wild letter Louisville’s president wrote complaining about college athlete economic rights, I’d love to see the @USFAthletics and @uvmvermont send that ‘red’ school home.

A heads up to @BaruchCollege and @Baruch_Zicklin students: I’ll be teaching Antitrust Law in Fall 2026 on M/W at 10:45 am. The class will be taught in the traditional law school style, similar to how I taught it last year at both Cardozo Law School and the Sorbonne.

Not everybody is going to like my take on college sports, and that’s okay. But, I will say this: when I left Skadden for academia, I traded away big salary for academic freedom. And, ever since, I’ve spent my career advocating what I believe to be just. Also, I sleep like a baby.

@TonyBruin Curious when and where you attended college. During my time at UPenn (1995-99) and Michigan (2000-03), the football and basketball players regularly attended class unless they were affirmatively pulled out. Do you know who had the lowest attendance rates at UPenn? The legacies.

The next three weeks of U.S. college sports will be fascinating. 68 men’s basketball teams are going to miss class for up to three weeks to earn their schools collectively billions in revenue. Meanwhile, #NCAA advocates will cry “student-athlete,” poverty and existential crisis.
