As of March 2026, some 9,446 Palestinians are held in Israeli prisons; 4,691 of them are under administrative detention, imprisoned without charge, trial, or the ability to defend themselves. Even during the illegal and deadly Israeli-American attack on Iran, Israel continues to operate a network of torture camps for Palestinian prisoners from north to south, where they are subjected to systematic abuse, including physical and psychological violence, inhuman conditions, starvation and denial of medical treatment. 84 identified Palestinians, including one minor, have died in Israeli torture camps over the last two years, and there is grave concern that the real number is higher. This policy persists with the full support of Israel’s political establishment, judicial system, prison authorities and media. The Israel Prison Service and the Minister for National Security have publicly bragged about the harsh conditions imposed on Palestinian prisoners. These torture camps are part of the planned, extensive assault Israel is waging against Palestinian society, intended to break down and destroy Palestinians as a group. CNN interviewed Qusai Abu al-Kebash, a 29-year-old Palestinian shepherd, who was sexually assaulted by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank village of Khirbet Humsa. He told @JDiamond1 that settlers zip-tied his genitals, paraded him through the village while beating him, threatened to rape women, assaulted children, and stole hundreds of his sheep.

❗️The son of Dr. Marwan al-Hams speaks out about his father’s abduction by Israeli occupation forces, saying the world has fallen silent while Palestinian hostages remain behind bars. Dr. al-Hams, Director of Field Hospitals at Gaza’s Ministry of Health and spokesperson for Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, was abducted on July 21, 2025, while on his way to visit a Red Cross facility in al-Mawasi, northern Rafah. During the operation, Israeli occupation forces opened fire, killing photojournalist Tamer al-Za’anin and wounding others before taking Dr. al-Hams away after reportedly shooting him in the leg. He has since been held in Israeli occupation detention, reportedly in Ashkelon prison, without transparency, while his family says they have been denied clear information about his condition. “Lately, no one has been posting about the Palestinian hostages. No one is asking about them,” his son says. “How long, world, will you stand by this crime? Your silence is harder to bear than the genocide.” He calls on people across Algeria, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Kuwait, Iraq, and beyond to keep speaking about his father and all Palestinian hostages, asking how long they will remain imprisoned and forgotten. - @zackpolanski has presumably been up all night. He's done the rounds of breakfast shows this morning and not put a foot wrong. He's head and shoulders above any other national politician at this stage.
