Reflects a sad and typical trend in current discourse: the indulging in the hardship endured by a privileged (heroic) researcher self. A troublesome failure of recognizing privilege in relation to the people you "do research on" or hire as assistant…Change is needed.

If u do #fieldwork pls reflect on #PRIVILEGE. U r not saving anyone n only furthering ur careers. N if #fieldwork is so hard, don't do it. It is not a form of self indulgence, a feel good thing. There are some real people out there, suffering. @MariaEBaaz @Mats_Utas @dsfactories
