Very helpful for Vance to say this clearly. Too many European commentators and practitioners have treated hostility to Ukraine and alignment with Russia as specific to Trump himself, and thus as something that can be worked around. It's not, it's the administration as a whole.

@MariaSeyrig @gaughen @SpaghettiKozak Alexander Dugin got his start after being recognized by a pop jazz mechanic artist. In a land where nothing is true, you always read the theater critics to find out what is happening.

Along that vein, who TF is this guy? He's allegedly a comedian, yet he doesn't have one single noteworthy bit. He came out of nowhere during the last Trump campaign, helped MAGA take over the Libertarian Party, and then suddenly appears on Joe Rogan and Fox News? These aren't things that happen organically. Dave Smith has no comedic talent to speak of. His routines are dull and uninspired. No one watches Dave Smith comedy specials or goes around quoting Smith the way they quote George Carlin, Richard Prior, Bill Hicks, or Dennis Leary. His celebrity seems entirely astroturfed and fake. I'd wager that whoever paid money to boost other MAGA influencers also paid to boost Smith. Perhaps he is part of the podcaster payola ecosystem that is currently being revealed by whistleblowers like Ashley St. Clair. The American people deserve to know what happened in 2024. Smith is exactly the sort of influencer who should be investigated once the MAGA Junta is deposed.

@gaughen @MariaSeyrig I have long wondered if there was a deliberate effort to radicalize comedians. Talk about this wirh @SpaghettiKozak often It just doesn't seem organic. Something is off.
