You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game.

Canada was ordered to end its discrimination toward All First Nations children and then tried to get out of the orders by negotiating an agreement without consulting First Nations or their experts especially outside Ontario. The agreement announced a lot of money and sounded good until you read the fine print (I.e.: secret govenance without regional representation and the announced money was time limited, had lots of strings attached and was subject to Canada’s undefined approval processes each year). No surprise it was not approved by First Nations nationally who set out a plan to negotiate a more effective, fair and inclusive agreement. Read our analysis and call on the feds to stop playing games and negotiate in good faith to end its discrimination for all First Nations children.

I asked if this liberal government will offer an agreement that uphold First Nations Rights. I'm guessing by this response, that probably, no they will not. I thank @CaringSociety and @cblackst for their leadership on keeping the focus with First Nations children
