I grew up in a Democratic Party where Democrats owned 30% of the wealth and Republicans owned 70%. Today, it’s exactly the inverse.

There is actually a case for war. I’m not advocating (mostly because this admin is a total train wreck in managing this conflict, and I think that’s been sadly proven right)…but certainly it’s up for debate, and so I maintain there is a case to be made. As Iran is an enemy of the US. So much US blood on its hands. Disruptive to entire middle east order. Slaughtering its own people. Refusal to giv up nuke aims…support to proxies…and in a very weakened position. So the admin could have made that case systematically to both the American people and Congress…And yes, it is a war of choice vs necessity. Make this case. Own it. That said…using these nonsensical claims of suitcase nukes, the made up imminence of a bomb, etc is so wildly counterproductive, it negates all else. Americans are not stupid. They remember the Iraq WMD fiasco.

Trump went to war on false or unproven claims: Iran was not within weeks of acquiring enough fissile material to make a nuke; did not babe an ICBM reaching US; was not about to attack US. This wasn’t fog of war; it was willfully contrived.
