Frying you over what exactly? She’s 3rd in PPG, 2nd in APG and her TOV are actually at a career low. This is her best career run ever. No one can guard her in that ATL team.
The defensive issues with Fever are the front court and no rim protection.

The basic and simple phrase of “feed the hot hand” is something we deeply lack. If you pay keen attention to everything White says in pressers, this much is very obvious. Unless there’s a drastic change, this team will contend, but won’t win.

You can see this in every single game. I can tell when we’re gonna play iso ball for Boston. I can tell when we’re gonna clear out weak sides for KM etc and it’s always when one of the big 3 has had a monster solo heater.

Fever’s biggest problem is the desire to force an equality of outcomes. Clark may have a monster 1st Q, and the next Q all our schemes would be to let KM get hers. That’s no ideal basketball. It’s never worked unless one player is willing to defer when the other’s having a heater

@Ser_Dweeb Yes, yes, I know AR had the better of KK but I’d still love to see her against AR again. I believe if she’s positioned behind her just rim protecting she can do better. I don’t trust AB to protect the rim. AR throws herself all over and AB will get in foul trouble very early.

@Ser_Dweeb Might be left field, but I want to see KK on AR. AR is uncoordinated and shoots from the hip. KK’s length will be extremely obstructive. No idea how the can work in the starting lineup but maybe some early rotations.

Things I’d like to see for the Fever against the Dream:
We have to match their physicality and energy
Everyone needs to contain drives better
Take care of the ball. Limit unforced errors
AB needs to guard AR at all times
The ball has to move more and players need to cut more

The Atlanta Dream made a concerted effort to NOT JACK THREES. 7-18 today from three. They usually shoot 30 and still make 7. They attacked the rim and got to the middle more than I've maybe ever seen in the Karl Smesko era. Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard shot a total of 6 threes. Angel Reese didn't shoot any. Kudos, Atlanta. This was actually fun to watch. Indiana Fever...ya gotta be better. You lost a game in which your big 3 each had at least 23 points on VERY efficient shooting. Lexie Hull and Monique Billings will HAVE to live up to their expectations for the Fever to truly be contenders in this league. But we'll truly have a solid scope of what you are made of after the rematch on Saturday. I said at the beginning of LAST SEASON that this could be a little playoff rivalry. They ended up meeting last season in the playoffs. I could definitely see them running it back this postseason 🔥
