It was an amazing day, and my first time, in Martha's Vineyard, for the @Touch4LifeInc panel on "It's In Our Genes: Owning Our Own Health Story." It has become abundantly clear that we need more advocacy, financial support and knowledge of cancer and heart disease that take millions of lives annually which is why I am so proud to be a Global Ambassador for ZERO Prostate Cancer. But we must bring more awareness to the importance that genetic testing and the impact genetics has on all of us. We spend millions of dollars in understanding how to achieve in our professional and financial lives but very little in understanding our health challenges. Part of the reason I so frequently speak about entrepreneurship is because it really took a team effort and an entrepreneurial mindset to launch Beyoncé's music globally and build longevity now across four decades. When I entered the music industry, I didn't have all of the answers. It was all new to me. But part of the reason I learned the ropes quickly was because of the entrepreneurial mindset and strategic thinking I now teach globally. I am very proud of Beyoncé’s record-breaking tour in a genre that history reminds us has its roots in Black music! What I have been sharing with people very often lately as Beyoncé has been wrapping up her tour is that many don’t understand the work that she has put into living her passion day-in and day-out, decade after decade. The business lesson today is this: Talent can open the door, but it's passion, discipline, strategy, and dedicated persistence that break records, both in music and also in every industry in the business world. I could not be prouder to see Destiny’s Child reunited on stage in Las Vegas, especially as Beyoncé closes out the Cowboy Carter tour which broke records and made history throughout its run. I know people cheer not just for the music, but them together as women and performers reminding us what's possible when we dream big and work hard which should be no different in our world of business. It took years for Beyoncé to get to this point but it was from strategic visibility and building brand perception among many other factors that have allowed her to be the best in the world as an entertainer. An amazing sight to witness!

I will be on campus Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 teaching entrepreneurial masterclasses to the next generation of leaders.
