@davemeltzerWON Let’s be honest Dave, the typical American wrestling fan isn’t paying attention to CMLL, they simply don’t have time with all the WWE, AEW, and TNA content. It’s a full time job to add CMLL to the mix.

I'd be embarrassed if my audience gave CMLL 4%. It would tell me that I've done a horrible job this year covering the news, or my clientele is completely ignorant of pro wrestling itself. Both of these possibilities would be embarrassing.

okay but to be fair, FTR winning the titles and doing a program with Cope and Christian does legitimately suck so y’know what, fairs if true

Crazy that if you live outside the US, WWE now offers the digital future we hoped for (Buy one relatively affordable service (Netflix), get everything) but in the US, it delivers the awful digital future we got (Need 800 channels/services just to keep up with what you like.)

They won't do this and really probably shouldn't given that it's their big, big, big draw for next week, but I would go gaga for Hangman just blasting past Mox the way Mox did to Punk a couple years ago.

Bryan Danielson still thinks WWE is a Parody of Pro Wrestling at times: “I think the AEW shows for the last several months have just been incredible. I watch the product every week at home, both shows, and I just think that the people, the wrestlers, the people involved in the creative... everybody’s doing just such a great job. So, that’s like, listen, I’m not afraid to be critical of a creative process or what I see in the sense. Maybe even when I was in WWE I would say, ‘Okay, sometimes this feels like a parody of wrestling to me.’ I wrote that in my book that was put out by WWE. @CowMFM @BrandonThurston Sportswashing is in a way worse than trade relationships. WWE is actively taking part in the Saudi government's publicity campaign. And still, both WWE and the US government should be criticized of course. Too bad I can't just turn off the TV on the US government.

Nails it. Stop politicizing everything. Just because WWE gets $50M per show directly from a govt that kills critics & treats women as legal minors, that’s political? In Saudi Arabia there are *no* political parties and no democracy. WWE is just helping make that feel normal.

They just did a TV match as a opener on their biggest show with a Dynamite post match angle. I refuse to let Death Riders ruin the vibe for me.

@josephweirdness I noticed that too, happened in both the JCW match with Tremont and I wanna say the Priest match at Dean? That's two for two where the refs struggled for a while to put the dog collar on so he'd have to "attack before the bell" and just do it himself.

One of my favorite things about Mad Dog Connelly is that he does have that instinct of "It's taking way too long to get that collar on" and when it's actually down to him to get the collar on someone, he's pretty quick and good about it too.

@JSmokeIWC She doesn’t have creative control, you guys are just too simple minded to understand that AEW, NJPW, RevPro etc. has not wanted her to lose, because building up a strong champion with an impressive winning record makes the moment she loses each belt more impactful. It’s simple

@chrismurp @DrainBamager The “we’re in overtime” comment referred to the fact that it was a post-match brawl. Excalibur misspoke before and said “what a match” or something. The above happened after the main event match between Storm and Shirakawa, you might've turned off the TV too soon.

@dropkickdjulian Have you guys considered adding a diary feature like Letterboxd has? Would love to be able to organize the watched section a little bit and track when I watched what.

Before continuing to add new promotions, we strengthened our existing back catalog of TNA, ROH, and ECW.

@joshbmessenger @Waterman2424 I doubt GCW get money from Progress or DDT either, I would think the idea is that each individual show can get more eyes on The Collective as a whole. Traditionally though, that was to support indie wrestling so I totally agree the WWEID stuff is out of place.

@joshbmessenger @Waterman2424 As I understand it, GCW provided the set-up for a WWE developmental show, just like they do for lots of other promotions as "The Collective" during wrestlemania weekend: Defy, Progress, DDT. GCW does not book these shows.
