Received confirmation earlier this afternoon, but wanted to be fair to process. This is a big decision for Michael to circle back. Habs fans will be frustrated, but Hage will be plug and play for MTL next yr after more seasoning . Expect big things from Michigan next season.

While mulling over the options for next season, hearing a return to Michigan remains a possibility for Michael Hage. That being said, it wouldn't be due to any potential knock on relationship with MTL. But both sides weighing the opportunity/developmental curve for the player.

Sources are telling me that Michael Hage knew he wouldn’t win the Calder next season against Porter Martone so he decided to return to school.
I’m also hearing he wants a trade to Philly to play with Martone and Michkov (the better version of Demidov).
